vim-plug, my own Vim plugin manager, was featured on the front page of Hacker News a week ago and has garnered almost 600 GitHub stars since then. The traffic graph of the repository on GitHub shows the stark difference between the numbers of visitors before, during, and after the event.
You can see that the buzz had faded away pretty quickly. However, it's still getting 3 or 4 times more visitors per day than before the exposure.
I once stated that I designed vim-plug just for myself and didn't expect it to get popular nor did I want it to be. But over time, vim-plug has grown into something that's much more than what I'd first imagined in every aspect and now I'm very confident that it provides numerous benefits over the other plugin managers and can be considered to be a real alternative. So if you haven't checked it out yet, you should. Yes, it's good.
